Coherent directing and editing?
People who hate Rose make me almost as sad as people who give Cabin in the Woods bad reviews on Amazon.
Starred for picking Before Midnight as the definitive trilogy-ender.
We know it won’t be the last Star Wars film, but obviously will be the end for this particular storyline.
Your choice. I’m of the opinion that Adam Driver as Kylo Ren is everything Anakin Skywalker should have been in the prequels but wasn’t.
This movie was about deconstructing the biggest flaw in the Star Wars mythos: That heroics are not the way to win a war, or build a future. Hero’s are not about what they do, but what they stood for, and if you are using last ditch heroism as your strategy you are going to get a lot of people killed and eventually…
“but didn’t feel the script had earned that moment”
Hahahaha - I read this as your wife loves the movie but you, not so much :D
The difference is that when Palpatine was introduced we literally knew NOTHING about the backstory of the galaxy far far away. Lucas was just creating an entire galaxy that we were being plopped into the middle of, so we had to accept that certain things are unknown. But by TFA we DID know the backstory that led up to…
Opinions are *completely* subjective- I agree 100%! My wife loved the movie- me, not so much.

“but do we honestly think Americans are going to tolerate a weakened Internet?”

I think the main thing everyone forgets when complaining about TFA being a “rehash of A New Hope” is that JJ Abrams had a MONUMENTAL job in not only returning the franchise to our screens, but also appeasing not only OT fans, but also prequel fans WHILE not pissing off those prequel fans, as he tries to soft-shoe the…
The Jedi were firm believers in Force Darwinism. There used to be two hundred kids in that class.
just because she hasn’t been spoken about, doesn’t mean she didn’t exist.
I know.
Funny, I only ever see people on the “MAGA” side of the aisle smashing things like coffee makers or boycotting places like starbucks. People on the other side of that aisle just don’t buy the product. At most they might incorporate it into a lawful and peaceful protest before they get hit by Jazz as he comes screaming…
Disney owns so many companies, they wouldn’t block this type of promotional material or the movie.
