Well he’s a USWNT fan, so that makes it all cool.

The only crime is that this wasn’t the very first movie written about in this space. Some of these middle movies are quirky and more guilty pleasures. This is movie is a bonafide cult classic.

I think in general that is true, but cultural intermingling is more active than you might think. Finding cast members of certain races is far more possible than casting folks are willing to try, and is too often used as an excuse. Just because even Japan is homogeneous does not mean it is monolithic.
