Look up SROs and the “School to Prison Pipeline.” It’s fun stuff. Fun...Terrible stuff.
I thought it was kind of clear in my post that I knew why Kotor 2 was rushed >.> What with the line about corporate politics and all...
Ehhh. I’m not a fan of Kotor 1’s story because it feels too much like a rehash of the Star Wars movies. It is well done, and the world building is nice, but the main story is very...typical.
Obsidian is the best. They don’t have the polish of other game companies, and seem to stink at corporate politics, but dammit do their games have good ideas. Kotor 2 is great, despite its rushed released. Had the potential to blow the classic Kotor 1 out of the water.
So I’m convinced that half of the remaining userbase for Destiny works for Kotaku.
I wonder anthropologically, when did humans stop being able to digest raw meat? Because we must have eaten raw meat in prehistoric ages.
Ooph. You really don’t know anything. Women are expressly prevented from playing on men’s national and club teams by FIFA. And in many countries had banned women’s professional soccer leagues for decades. Even England wouldn’t allow them until the 70s.
Out of the grays with you!
Ooph, this is a lot of circumstantial “context” to explain away an event which is still in effect having the exact same problem as people object to.
I don’t think the movie is very good, but goddamn I think that trailer is one of the best around.
Because too often when you see men’s stats listed in soccer it does not come with the gender qualifier. So why not judge women’s success the same way? Who is the US soccer player with the most FIFA international competition goals? Abby Wombach. Like I don’t know why you are so angry over this stuff.
When the US was struggling to dominate earlier in this tournament, she was also accused of being the main reasons, through her political influence in the locker room, why the US was so behind tactically. So who knows!
Until soccer becomes an inter-gender sport, the only valid way to judge a soccer player is relative to their competition. It is by definition the only means we have to judge them.
She’s a better player relative to her competition than Landon Donovan is to his. Similarly Hope Solo is a better player relative to her competition than Howard is. Is this really that hard to understand?
To be fair, I’m pretty sure my expectations of her were colored by seeing 5 commercials with her per game. I also just wanted to see Leroux get more shine. Or Boxx for that matter.
She was really good, but considering the expectations on her, and the talent that was benched for her sake, I think it is worth calling it a disappointment. I think Sidney Leroux could have done much of the same thing, or any of the 4 benched strikers. I just think before the last two games, there was a question of…
I wonder how the ratings for telemundo in the woman’s world cup are. Because even though the Hispanic viewers are more fans of soccer than the typical American, I’m not sure they are the biggest fans of women’s soccer. Especially since the Mexico team is rubbish.
She’s the best American Soccer player ever produced, either gender. Just was not fit for this team, especially when plenty of really good players missed time because of her. I liked her as a human victory cigar in the semi’s and the finals. But she really hurt us in the group stage, and the team didn’t become this…
