i agree that Vs. doesn’t have a single throwaway song — I’ll always have a spot in my heart for “Gloified G” because it was my favorite Pearl Jam song when I first heard it when I was 13. But I would also argue that neither Ten nor Yield have any throwaway song (although I’m not a huge “Wishlist” fan).

Pearl Jam is probably the album I listened to least, so I probably owe it some renewed consideration. But I didn’t love it and thought the lead tracks were just fine. I probably give Backspacer too much credit because I’m a big softy in my 30s and totally love “Just Breathe”, and I think the rest of it is good too.
