I mean, they’re paying one partner (who will probably do very little doc review, if any) $540/hour. One attorney with that firm is billing $220/hour. The other firm is charging $415/hour for partners and $285/hour for associates. He’s a dick and fuck him and all that, sure, but the numbers really aren’t all that

As a fellow East Coast resident, I agree/sympathize (I would particularly love to be able to watch the NFL on a Pacific Time schedule). But where do ticket sales come into play here? I’m sure it would be much harder for them to fill the arena at 5 PM local time.

S’mores are terrible, because crumbly graham crackers cannot hold that sandwich. Also, we romanticize the idea of s’mores around a campfire, but you can’t make a good s’more with standard campfire tools, because the chocolate needs to be substantially melted for the thing to work.

This isn’t my area of law, but I do find it interesting that although some earlier versions of Andrews’ complaint include as an alleged injury “loss of earning capacity”, the third amended complaint (the one where the claim of $75 million in damages comes into play) does not — rather, it claims “expenses and damages

Sure. But they've also been to the Conference Finals three times, and the Cup Finals once, in the last 4 seasons. Obviously they need to win at least one for this to all be worth it, but at least they're not like the Knicks, trading away all their first rounders and still missing the playoffs.
