I haven't read the books or watched the leaked episode, but I read this. It was pretty funny and interesting! If the show is any good (it is!), then this won't hurt my enjoyment of the next three episodes one iota.

Dunkin’s breakfast sandwiches are far superior to Starbucks’. But eat a breakfast sandwich from a NY deli (or, my preference — a NJ diner) and you’ll realize Dunkin’s sandwiches taste like plastic.

It might have been. But the appellate court reversed in a 2-1 decision last summer. Not sure if it's being appealed further.
