I thought the exact same thing. Can someone please answer why the US didn’t shoot these Bears down as soon as it became clear they were deadly close to the carrier?

This title is extremely misleading: the only reason given for
One thing that bothered me was the length: 2 hours 22 minutes. For others it may not have been a problem, but for me it just felt so drawn out.
Best looking McLaren in recent history.
Why do you have “Land of Opportunity” trademarked?
Really hope this doesn’t escalate to a modern-day Red Storm Rising.
Doug is such a great writer that I’ll read articles of his on topics I have zero interest in. -Not an adult.
Thanks for the reply! Also, what do you think of QOS? It’s usually regarded as one of the worst Bond films so I doubt it’s in your top 3.
Chances Casino Royale will be in the top 3? All because it’s newer doesn’t mean it can’t be one of the best.
But the F35s’ rivets are special though because they were foolishly adapted to several tactical roles and incompetently produced in large numbers before testing was completed. But we already invested hundreds of billions of dollars into these them with rivet buyers from across the world that nobody has the chutzpah to…
Assuming I was a billionaire (so the cost would never really affect me), I would say $3 million. Just enough for the newest hypercar, or a really nice classic. It’s like the concept of diminishing returns in economics, the more and more you spend then the less utility/happiness you’ll gain per dollar, to the point in…
I think a good contender is the Ferrari FF. It’s a Ferrari, which is one of the V12 ones, but has 4-wheel drive, and is also a shooting brake design. Furthermore, it has sublime luxury with room to fit four adults comfortably, with dual monitors on the headrests, AND over 650 hp. Now that’s a lot of car.
Rented a Golf in Germany a few months ago. They required my US license and my passport. After about 30 min of entering the info in the system, my receipt stated my address was 80 . . . ., . . ., Massachusetts, GERMANY.
If I was in the market for a midsize boring sedan I would definitely get this over a Camry.
Someone said this before and I’ll repeat it: I have learned by far the most information from Foxtrot Alpha (and TR for that matter) than any of the other Kinja sites.
Not considering the restart process, how much would it cost to keep a Concorde up and running for air shows, charters, etc? With costs like fuel, maintenance, and pilots, how would the cost compare to other limited service demonstration aircraft?
So I’m going to guess you’re a more moderate Republican?
This man speaks the truth.
Wow, thanks for the answer. Could people be picked up by this though like in Thunderball? It seems like the sudden force pulling the rope forward would be so fast that it wouldn’t be safe for a person.
I found this final part absolutely absurd. Is this actually a method used to pick up people from out of the water? Would anyone even survive that?
