My Mercedes has non functioning Phone controls and worst of all , if I go into the phone menu, instead of being kind and hiding that menu so as not to make me feel bad , it displays NO PHONE.
Which in its condesending font looks more like: NO PHONE YOU CHEAP BASTARD

Sadly Doug, US plates are becoming quite popular on Euro cars in Europe , part of the whole USDM look..
Admittedly I do have us size plates on My 04, C220 CDI and my father has Euro plates on his 06, Mustang GT

Plates. I have a fondness for whats known as “Jap Plates”here in Ireland. It may seem a tad silly to do on a car thats not Japanese but it does help stand out amongst the sea of similar W203 gen C-Classes.

Also the amount of filler and paint it took to hide the euro plate mounts was far too much effort !

LHD isn’t too bad until you get to a toll Bridge ! hahaha
I love how kildare county council will refuse to repair potholes on our road
so now everyone owns Qashqai’s, Dusters and Jukes. Just so they can actually .. drive

Aw :( Now I no longer feel exclusive ( yes I referred to Mustang ownership as exclusive)

On my way home from the city tonight I witness something really similar, only on pedal two Pedal Taxi’s. The enemy of drivers at night in Dublin.
If only I had grabbed a photo :(

You know whats Ironic. It is a trend now amongst Euro Kids here in Europe to make their cars USDM. My friend has a Mk4 Golf with US Bumpers, corner markers and fake California plates.
Essentially everyone wants what they can’t have.
I do get a giggle out of the fact I have a Euro spec 06 Mustang with long plates.

I learned to drive in LHD US Import Lincoln Towncar
in RHD Ireland.
trying to pilot a massive yank tank down small country lanes was terrifying, any car since has been a piece of cake !

The car I am looking at is currently in the country with all taxes payed thankfully :) I know a few friends who have dealt with jdmauctionwatch and have praised them !
Thanks so much for the helpful into by the way

I may add , it is a 2000 Audi S3 with 190,000 miles
said crown is 90,000 kilometres
said crown has seat covers

Its a 2000 Audi S3 and its fun but highly impractical and a volkswagen group car ( so many dashboard lights)
A Crown is just so bizarre to find in Ireland and I don’t know if I am just in Love with it because its so weird and unusual for a country filled with Diesel euroboxes or because it has seat covers

Brilliant post! Just have one unusual request , I have an opportunity to buy a 1991 Toyota Crown Diesel, am I stupid in thinking that its worth getting rid of my S3 for...
just to be “JDM-bro” again

how do the rear doors slide open with those fender flares ?

Its also not the real car , copied plates I believe !

Oddly enough in Ireland we adore compact sedans/saloons. The Ford Focus is most popular in sedan form , the Golf is popular but you see a lot more Jettas/Bora’s. The Megane is far more rare then the Fluence and you see a few Astra saloons too . I don’t even think that the Fluence or Astra saloon is sold in the UK. Why

God I adore the Shamal ! Though I can happily say I now have a set of wheels that sat proudly on a beastly Italian exotic.

Volkswagen have been doing this for years and the fanboys love it. Ive just been to a VW show where everyone was frothing over “Aniversary Golf Kits” ,30th Ani Headlamps
25th Ani US SPEC bumpers etc.
Its all so overly complicated.

Please tell me this design is an april fools joke that actually slipped through the net.

I wish my evoke was electric and the size of a G-whizz
Thank goodness the ironically titled "The Longer Yuelang X1" exists.

Oh god this doesn't make me feel to good about buying a 1.8T 8L S3 last month !
