I realize that I have hated all the '06+ Corollas I have encountered. All of their supporters that I know are driving older models.

Fi is so creepy.

In a way, yes. We have First Nations blood on his side and my mom was white. But they were both immigrants to the US. He had a problem with the law that made all of us kids citizens because he was agreeing with the talking head on tv.

The Alfa gets my vote. From the movie Gung Ho where they were supposedly Japanese.

The most disheartening version of this was my Canadian born father agreeing with Sarah Palin on fox about undoing the 14th amendment. That made his kids citizens.

Thanks for getting a lot of this right.

I drove my '07 DSG for 138k before road debris ended it's road. At 110k, VW offered up a replacement under an extended warranty. Those worries are overblown for reliability. For feel, you have to know what you're getting into, DSG feels different than a slushbox.

I'd like to see a Kei car set of rules for trucks/utes here in the states - where you get CAFE advantages for a certain specifically restricted footprint. Make something like a Ranger or Mighty Max a good idea again. Maybe even something as crazy as the Dodge cab forward mini truck the MAXX.

Texas friendly or with a flamethrower?

Ja.

I have to agree with you. I had domestic cars for years, but it comes down to how well they do the job. If the ST I tried to test drive had actually started and been driveable on the second attempt (two days later), I'd have bought it. Instead, VW.

I guess I'm alone thinking the 360 in Blue is the prettiest Ferarri.

Noooooooo

I like that 5 across seating, and they are quieter and more comfortable than the regional jets they fly on these routes instead. I never thought I'd defend the MD80, but then I flew an Embraer.

360 Modena blue deep blue. So perfect.

Would have bought it instead of the gasser. Consolation prize for making it in Puebla?

They've done a good job with the new Jetta, but I would by lying if I said I wasn't worried.  The New Beetles were built in Puebla and were notoriously bad.

I'm worried about headroom.  GTI is one of the few cars I currently fit in well.

I think you'll like it, I thought the previous gen A3 was awkward and cheap compared to the GTI I bought.
