I've barely broken in my intuos 4.

Something to keep the mouth busy: sunflower seeds, jerky, hard candy, gum.

Nice to see a good, reasoned comment and a great, well researched article. Heart-clicky for you. [Forgot my comma.]

I always preferred the dog assistant.

I'm a little nervous on # 5, but I like the idea. The ethics on that sort of rule are dicey - I found it one of the more morbidly fascinating pieces of the Niven known space series. Everything became a capital offense, and murderous organleggers roamed the streets of earth, stealing body parts or whole people.

Nice to see considered thought cross posted here. Kevin's a great thinker.

I realize now that most of the vitriol I had for the Corolla rental I was stuck with was focused on it's torque converter. Both of our daily drivers have DSG now, and I have no patience for a car that can't "clutch out" the

My favorite simile for cutting the budget: Cutting NASA to cut the Federal budget is like cutting your hair to lose weight. Technically, you do weigh less, but not enough to measure.

Nice to see someone covering it.

For 1/2 that price, maybe.

I'm impressed with this list, thoughtful - insightful, and not insensitive or charged. I prefer the "get over yourself" tone.

I agree. Cut em loose.

~160 to 180lb of excess weight, plus all the supplies to keep doc alive? Each crew slot is a major investment, if you can get by without, you can perform a completely different mission profile. I'd imagine some medical training would be an asset to people applying to be an astronaut though.
