@zer0p01nt: Perhaps "pander in an unseemly way" to people who intentionally ignore science would be more accurate?

I've always found science fiction to be a fascinating commentary on the culture of the time it was written. Late 70's early 80's writing is remarkable in how soviet centered the thinking is.

'78 Olds 98. Baby blue. Velour seats. It was trashed in 1990 when it got replaced-despite being carefully cared for-it just fell apart. Still have the plates.

I'm sad you can't do voice and data together. :/

@TheAlmightyBen: The lament is that there are still people who have not overcome and done better. It's an idealistic dream to think that we all could rise above the infirmities of the human condition, but a worthwhile one.

Why do you think Hyundai/Kia still haven't begun offering full DP benefits to their employees stateside? I think it's down to them and Suzuki. I *would* recommend them to friends, but they're out of touch there.

Interior quality and feel is the VW differentiator. Bold, risky, move.

@ReverendDexter: For every one of you, there is apparently one of me. I HATE 3 door hatches. If a car only has 2 front doors, it really only should have 2 seats.

I really am not yet convinced that this is "finding their way." Maybe I'm the wrong demographic... but this just isn't doing it for me. I abhor fake wood. I'm not alone, my Dad went with the cheaper outback since it was metal trim not plood.

@MacGyver1138: I learned *that* kind of stick in a '94 CK extended cab.

I actually learned stick in a friend's '84 accord.

@VeeArrrSix: I got it from a Texaco here. If the pump goes slowly STOP. It means the filter is clogged. I ended up with 2/3 water.

I first saw them in that Jackie Chan movie - Who am I?

I long for these to be good, but I've given up hope. I stopped using my TC 1100 at home in favor of MBP. At work, they've replaced my trusty Fujitsu T4210 with a giant, glitchy, slab-o-Dell.

The Rendezvous rear plate hole reminds me of goatse.

Fix the rear door handles.

My headset has an amazing feature that let's you determine when it's on: a switch. Not a button, a physical switch. Old Jawbone turned on in bag all the time. New one: only on when you mean it.

@Sam Smith: Always liked your writing. I recommend Auchentoshan.
