My thinking is that the average person who watches tv online is at the very least aware that workarounds exist; and even a quick google search shows how simple it can actually be to set up. DayZ is far far far better when playing with friends, use the alone time to get tonnes of loot and plan a session with a bunch of friends either using teamspeak or skype, it becomes quite a social activity as the object is survival.
