I watched that recently and cried because here was someone who could actually be President, but knew he shouldn’t be because it wasn’t fair - and who ran on intelligent issues that would make people’s lives better... and in reality, we have Trump, and the world is awful.

He wanted to lose so he could spend the rest of his life lamenting about how he was robbed. He was planning to start his own TV network/echo chamber before election day.

Never get into a fight with a poker-playing Trump supporter before you have a chance to take all their money.

You... You know, Howard’s not here... right?

This is a very strange way of going about it but I’m 100% serious when I say, hey, whatever works. It’s a great initiative.

He never wanted to be President - he wanted the ego stroke of being wanted to be President. His best case scenario was the actual opposite of what happened - he would have been THRILLED to win the popular vote and lose the Electoral College.

Add immunity and the answer is absolutely, yes.

I keep wondering: if all (or at least, most) of the countries in this world would pool together a few billion dollars, and offer it to Trump in exchange for resigning, do you think he’d do it? Personally, I think he’d at least consider it.

“It’ll be just like that Game of Thrones show you all love!” - Republicans

Reminds me of the old joke, “what do you call the person at the bottom of their class in med school?” “Doctor.”

  • Megyn Kelly ended her first episode.

So, since dotard45 couldn’t even locate these countries on a map, who’s really doing this and why?

That... was a fascinating diversion. Thank you.

Humor is one way people process grief. a lot of people also use humor as a coping mechanism. An inappropriate joke doesn’t make someone evil - or a Trump voter. Save your outrage for the people actually deserving of it, like the shooter here, or Trump and his administration.

I hope he does something with it, à la Hail to the Thief.

No, I’m sorry. The answer is racism. Racism is the reason people voted for Trump. Thanks for playing though.

We may laugh at the irony but there is an existential precedent that impacted philosophical/existential studies for centuries to come.

In cases like this it often seems to be domestic violence related, but I guess we’ll see.

This is so tragic. Church is a place to feel safe...one of the few sanctuaries people have to be peaceful. (Felt the same way about the Ariana grande concert as concerts are safe havens for so many people>

The church spokesperson (I think that’s who he was?) said that the one fatality was a woman in the parking lot as the gunman was on his way inside, then entered through the back wearing a ski mask.
