Well from my experience playing this game, people spawn and rush the capture zone to help. If I hold this line of sight I control which way they will go. Don't get me wrong I dis like snipers too, I just don't think they are ignoring the "Objective". I count map control as being very important.

Actually that is the best sniper spot in that level- it has Heavy ammo in the sights and the main path from both spawn points. Holding either of these areas is pretty legit.

IT actually isn't that odd of a game concept. There was that one game where you had to roll the ball and avoid traps and stuff like that. Going even further back they used to make toys where you have to roll the ball down certain pathways.
