Yeah, I was feeling pretty miserable about the cold temperatures in the D.C. area (and having to spend all of the workday yesterday outside) but after hearing about the sometimes -30 degree days/nights in Minnesota and elsewhere, I decided it's not so bad.

At first I pictured those old-style desks where the wooden top flipped up and there was storage underneath the desktop. But who uses those anymore? For the most part these days, school desks don't have hidden storage.

I'm surprised you even got to see either of them! I was at the rally also but never really got to see the talent. Mostly I saw masses of people and many many clever "protest" signs. I myself have made the KC->DC drive many times. Lots of fun billboards to watch on the way.
