Mario Galaxy did a load of new stuff. So did Sunshine, even though it turned out to mostly suck.

I noticed this when playing my first game on the Wii, Twilight Princess. Only took Dorkly 6 years to get to the same joke.

Yeah, but NSMB Wii and DS was kind of unexpected. It was a "holy shit. I used to play games like that and they were awesome" moment. Now, it's just a "oh look they're re-releasing the exact same game with some new levels" moment.

Parents and kids aren't the ones watching E3. I don't mind them releasing those games, but they shouldn't take up 80% of their press conference.
