Fact: pay gap is a myth. It is also illegal and has been for a very long time

Women get paid less than men because statistically they work less hours, waaaaah no fair. Women get paid more than men, waaaaaaah they should have been promoted, no fair.

“Within this job code, men were flagged for adjustments because they received less discretionary funds than women,” the company said. To conclude from this that many men at Google are underpaid is an oversimplification.

Yep, strongest character and performance in the show.

I hope Pike stays. That Anson Mount is great, I seriously don’t know why this guy isn’t some big-screen star.

So these vocal minorities just control what does well and what doesn’t do well in theaters? They are the one’s responsible for the movie not doing well with general audiences? THAT’S your rational? oy.

I’m looking at this image, and all I can think is:

The contract between the two seems to still allow Netflix to keep producing the shows for awhile longer. It looks like it boils down the losing new films (and eventually older ones once their time is up), not wanting to promote (however indirectly) Disney +, and lower than expected viewing numbers for some of the

Id say that’s pretty consistent with how they approach fidelity to the source.

I think its more nuanced than that. Or at least, it can be. Section 31 represents a contradiction that has existed since at least TNG: whereas Kirk saw himself as a soldier and openly told people that he and his crew were as much military officers as they were explores, Picard and Riker were in open denial about

Oh my fucking god. So getting Japanese characters tattoo’d on you is now cultural appropriation?

Get the fuck out of here.

Look, we’ve all laughed at those people who got a Chinese character tattoo that thought it meant “spirit” or something, but it instead meant “soup”. But thats about the extent of it. The person

I mean is it really our job to be outraged for the citizens of Japan when they seem to feel no outrage at this situation?

I like this one. It always seems like those not involved or affected in any way are the ones making the biggest stink about things. Im gonna go ahead and appropriate this quote.
