They just spent a shitton of money to sign Solder. The OL hasn’t been great, but Manning’s been awful.

The Giants’ DL dominated the Pats’ (very good) OL in both of those Super Bowls. Tuck in particular beat the living hell out of Mankins all day, generating pressure from the interior and really messing with the Pats’ timing patterns.

I owned a ‘99 Intrigue (2nd from right) for 5 years as my daily driver. Scoff all you like, it was a really really really good car. Very comfortable and good looking, easy to drive but not sloppy, did everything I asked of it.

The Red Sox did just that last year, bunting against him, and Sabathia was PISSED about it. Made post-game comments saying the Sox were “weak” to do it.

This is the same guy who bitched that another team bunted on him.

Not a team-based thing, I thought the actual pitch was further out of the zone than the one to Judge. And given that the game was in full balance there, a pretty awful call to have made.

Not sure where else to put this: a Yankees fan threw a full beer can at Kimbrel as he was walking out of the bullpen:

Savage AF. But I’m still laughing.

Worst call of the night went against the Sox (the strike 3 call on Benintendi in the 8th).

Red Sox are now 2-0 when Bucky Dent throws out the first pitch before a playoff game in Yankee Stadium (tonight and Game 7 2004).

He gets home plate tonight too.

Yes. He’s always been pretty consistently around a 95-100 OPS+ player; last year he was bad but was dealing with post-concussion symptoms. This year he was at 109 OPS+. Can’t say I expected him to hit for the cycle last night, but I’m certainly happy he did.

Wait, this is a thing? A real thing?

I haven’t seen the Yankees routed this badly since the Battle of Chancellorsville.

That Instagram is HoF-worthy in and of itself.

Pandering to your bass I see...

Pick took place within 1 yard of the LOS I believe, making it legal.

Meanwhile, Mexican Radio makes me wish I was in Tijuana, eating barbecued iguana.

Wait, I just checked and you’re right, although Brady played only a little bit in that game. That was the last game of the year, Cassel played the vast majority of it. This was the Flutie drop-kick game.

Cassel was the QB that day. 2008 was the Brady ACL year.
