I'd have never imagined that the goofiest, most pointless car in the Toyota family would not be a Scion. And Scion was created specifically to be goofy and pointless.
For real though...$34,260 for an Autobahn with DSG and everything else, at that point you really should just pony up for the R that starts at $36,595. Of course if you want the adaptive suspension on the R, that will set you back almost $40,000.

Considering all the work they did to get power to the rear without intruding on the aerodynamics, I find it interesting that they still went with a flybrid setup instead of electrical. Running wires to electrical motors seems like it might make packaging simpler.
