I remember an article from around when the Maybach came out than an average S-Class buyer made about $250k per year. Adjusted for inflation, that is now somewhere between $300k and $350k, so not quite 1%. I'd expect Tesla buyers to be a bit lower, especially considering the cost of ownership advantage.
