Jalopnik should do a kickstarter to build our own racetrack. By car guys, for car guys. DO IT!

Take a Maxima, put the GT-R 4wd system and double clutch gearbox, drop in an NA VQ37(Twin turbo for higher output models), then make it an estate. Done. Call it the Stagea or something.

Heres a Ginetta G4 being somewhat dwarfed by a Lotus Elan, which isnt exactly a 5 series. GT4-GT5 don't do this cars miniscule proportions justice. The first time i saw one i parked my E30 next to it and could only see the roof out of my door. Unbelieveable.

On the Northern State Parkway(same goes on a few other exits on NSP), theres this one, which doesn't appear to have any number going eastbound, but westbound its 29a. The streetview pic does it little justice, but you barely see the almost complete 90 degree turn on this exit till you get half way through the bridge.

The ramp leading to 80 at the end of the bridge is almost as bad, i know because i've been following that route to get to 78 since i was 15 and i still occasionally get funnelled into 1/9 to 80 anyway, what a mess.

200mph. Hands down. Its so bad i can't even sit through it. If you want to laugh and cringe till your emotions cant handle it anymore, go look this shit up on netflix.

My 87 E30. Bought it 2 years ago for 1500 bucks, DD'd it for about 6 months before the headgasket bit the dust, spent another year and a half on and off fixing(bodging) it back into life. Between lack of funds, GT Academy, and looking for jobs, it spent a long time sitting. Just got it working again last week.

All 4

Its got such a cute little woobie face! And it talks!

My respect for all the engines on this list is boundless. So much so that i have considered swapping my M20 for several of them. Coming from a Jeep family, the 4.0 strait six has earned my respect for running into 200k and even 300k miles on some of the family mobiles. And yes, i know BMW sort of has this category

THIS!!!!!! We need to see more rally special stages taking place in quarrys. They dont use them on weekends anyway, and they offer such a unique set of challenges. The people using the quarry win due to making extra money on weekends having the quarry used, the spectators win for having new, unique, and interesting

Now playing

Was it the same one that they drove on Roadkill? It looks nearly similar.

People rally these suckers too. I actually have one thats turned into a rally project. If it exists, someone has raced it, no exceptions.

It might take the stance kids some time to pick up on older VIP style Infiniti's, but im confident they'll get snatched up eventually. First gen M45s and J30s might get picked up on eventually, especially at what the prices they go for now.

Crap! Beat me to it. Literally the first thing that came to mind. At least Jebediah wasn't on board at the time.

I cant tell if they are all 'car culture just isnt the same, REAL car culture is dead' or they legitimately think its dead. Either way, they couldn't be more wrong.

Teenagers would hang out at the drive through, but their cars are too low to get up the driveway.

All jokes aside, the meets, and the car culture, are very much alive. Street racers still meet at gas stations, their favorite mountain pass, or whatever their local usual spot is. The landscape has changed, but car

Just so long as it isnt 410hp to the front wheels. AWD or this could get awkward. Totally awesome in my book though.

Rotating headlamps. Starting to make a bit of a comeback in their own way.

Harry's is hit or miss sometimes. One weekend i scored an E30 BBS front valance for 20 bucks(found several for sale for nearly 200-400). Plus so many cool cars i've seen scattered about the ruins, Fiat 128, 1st gen Focus RS, Volvo P1800, Datsun 510... Saw some cars i couldn't believe were there. If you live nearby,
