I know you are kidding, but I still hear that freaking dumb statement from folks who clearly have never lived anywhere but a huge city with great public transportation. For the record, a Miata is the perfect commuter car. One person + laptop bag. Can squeeze into the tightest spots in traffic. You can find little bits of fun in corners. Additionally you can work on your tan on nice days. It’s indeed practical!
