I agree completely about openers. In all my years of concert-going, I think I’ve seen one opening act that I’ve legitimately enjoyed. Usually they’re poorly mixed and mediocre. I think sometimes they’re picked to make the headliners look better. 20 minutes is plenty.

Yeah, I know $8k is crazy. Technically it was for a brand new Mazda engine (which is what ended up in the car). There’s no way I was paying it. I’d started looking at Banzai in Indiana for a rebuild. I already have a Miata in the garage that needs a bunch of work, I have neither the time nor the place to rebuild it

Yeah, I’ve considered that option. I pushed it off as I never actually accumulated any significant amount of water in the light itself, but now the running lights on the left side only work intermittently. I’ll figure something out. Unfortunately, aftermarket options for the S2 don’t exist so I’m either fixing the

They’re the talking points because they’re potentially productive middle ground. They’re far less controversial and I think present great opportunities to make schools safer. Isn’t that what we both want? This gun control stuff isn’t going anywhere but there’s plenty of other things we can do. Why can’t we find common

Yeah, mine died sooner then it should have too. I get it. Don’t blame you. At this point the cars that still have warranty are Series II cars that are supposed to last. My major advice/point is if you own one that still has warranty get the compression test done before the warranty expires and know where your engine

This isn’t smearing and trying to intimidate children. It’s political tactics. There’s a group that’s using these children as an image to advance an agenda. We should hold those individuals as accountable for putting the children in harm’s way as those who have chosen to take the bait and make fools out of themselves

The trick is to get a compression test a couple months before the warranty runs out. My R2 was driving OK (little issues here or there, rough idle, occasional stall, mostly remedied with new coils) but the compression test said 450 kPa on the front rotor so Mazda replaced the motor with ~78k on it. I’m hoping to get

I grew up in Michigan too. I’m an automotive engineer. I don’t love all Japanese brands equally, but you know who I do love? Mazda.

Weren’t there reports at least the challenger is going to the Giulia / Stelvio platform soon? It’s a fuzzy memory, but I think it went along with announcements of the awd v6 GT model.

I do daily an RX-8, and have for about 4 years (it trades off a little with my Miata). They’re great cars and given how cheap they are, you can easily have a rebuild done well if you want to be sure the engine will last a few years. Mazda just replaced my engine near the end of the warranty period (let’s say

I’m with you, it’s all about preparation. Bag of sand and shovel in the trunk, good scrapers/brushes, the right wiper fluid, snow tires. I think commenting on Jalopnik increases the probability that you have snow tires by at least ~20%.

This is quite possibly one of the more favorable attitudes I’ve seen presented toward FCA. It suggests they were working with the EPA to resolve known issues and external pressures associated with VW prompted the EPA to take punitive action which blindsided FCA, who wasn’t expecting exorbitant fines. It suggests the

I sat in one of these at Detroit. Something about the interior ergonomics didn’t feel right. It was something about the seating position or the alignment of the steering wheel and cluster and hoodline. It felt big, like Charger big, and I’m pretty sure that’s not what they’re going for.

Thoughts?

Somebody in my circle of car guys posted this about a year ago. We’ve spent a fair amount of time arguing it and we’re fairly certain that as applied the skis have no particular advantage over wheels and actually have a couple of issues, the biggest of which is there’s nothing to really keep them pointed in the

It’s hard to get excited for the Detroit show this year. It’s been basically the same show for the last 3 years (look at the floor plans). I think Chrysler is on year 4 of their dance party display. GM eschewed most of their elevated displays 2 years ago. Ford’s basically been carrying the torch but the 2018 Mustang

I remember reading that too. If we’re lucky that limitation was discussed in context of current models and is being revised with the updated 3 and 6. If I were product planning at Mazda, getting the 2.5T and AWD into the 3 would have been an important goal for the skyactiv2 cars.

I currently drive an RX-8. I’d love to trade it in for a new Skyactiv Mazdaspeed3 except it doesn’t exist. And it doesn’t look like it will exist any time soon. Do I buy a FoST? Civic Si? They just won’t drive like a Mazda...

There’s a lot in the licensed sets. Lando’s been around a long time, for instance. I think they did a basketball theme years ago too. The heads and hands are pretty readily available (sort bricklink for reddish-brown).

The problem is that someone who pays day 1 to unlock Luke and Vader will have a better experience (Iconic characters are popular) and possibly an advantage (the heroes in battlefront are rarely well balanced) over someone who decides to grind their way to unlocks. It’s a form of pay-to-win, which is never popular.
