I follow video game news almost religiously, check out a handful of sites multiple times a day, and follow a good number of industry reporters and insiders on Twitter. Until today I’d never even heard of Launcher and, hell, I have a Post subscription.

I got into the mobile Castlevania games for the first time last year and was pleasantly surprised at how great they held up. I’d always heard they were top notch but didn’t really have a way to play them until I did some home brewing. Really enjoyed playing them.

Whenever I see a list like this I always have to bang the drum for Dust: An Elysium Tale. Yes, I know it’s almost ten years old now, but I still think it’s been incredibly underrated. Metroidvania is my favorite genre of games, and I think Dust is on the Mt. Rushmore. It does all the usual Metroidvania things, but

I mean, it’s RAM. Don’t people just go and add as much as the computer will allow? It’s the easiest part of the whole buying process. Just get a shit ton and forget about it for the next decade.

Castlevania. Absolutely amazing series.

You and me both, Juno Spacecraft.

I’m gonna watch the show, but everything I just read in this blog confused the hell out of me. Breakfast Egg Rolls? From Green Bay? Veal Milanesa from anywhere?

This stuff sounds like kitchen meals that are simply made outdoors, as opposed to what I’d actually want: proper tailgate food.

I mean, they aren’t wrong.

Reading someone’s thoughts about when they first took That Elevator down will absolutely never get old.

They’ve got Minnesota and Wisconsin right.

How has everyone been sleeping on Leopard Skin? I feel like if it were on HBO and The White Lotus was stuck on Peacock it would be the former that got all the attention and accolades.

It’s probably the best Halloween movie since the original.

Now playing

Sad, or completely hilarious. I don’t know but it’s gotta be on here.

He chose, at random, “Your Song” by Elton John for his audition, and when asked to do The Beatles’ “Come Together” he responded, “‘Oh, I know that song, that’s Michael Jackson!’”

It’s the breadsticks. Best breadsticks around.

You’d think that everyone was getting off to weak sauce like Christopher Cross (1981), Toto (1983), Phil Collins (1986), and George Michael (1989)

I mean, it basically has been.

FF Tactics is one of my very favorite all time games. Have never played Tactics Ogre, but I’m hour or so in and utterly delighted. Yes, I wish it was prettier, but so every I really love everything I’m seeing. ESPECIALLY the score. It’s perfect.

Well hey now look here a little googling and I find out a golf course’s clubhouse about ten minutes away sells Tater Kegs. Gonna have to go check them out today.

On one hand I sympathize with parents not wanting their kids to go to school in the dark.
