Quality offroad version? I don't know how to tell you this... But this is one of the most capable off roaders you can buy. You won't rock crawl in it. But it will tackle just about everything thrown at you. It's only issue is it's slightly undertired. But most off road oriented SUVs are. Including the Wrangler.

Lotus, if you can make a lightweight sports car without taking another company's engine and giving it a modest power upgrade with a major reliability downgrade, that will be a good start.

I think his point is that the LaFerrari is less impressive than the other two. By using the hybrid technology for only one purpose, the LaFerrari limits its usability, and therefore its appeal. By itself, the LaFerrari may be a fantastic car, but, when compared to the others, it's sub-par.
