You seem unaware of the fact that all Switches come with the official Switch dock.

You get one included with the Switch. There is no way to purchase a Switch at retail without the dock. The $90 dock is for replacements for those who have damaged or lost their docks. It is not a $90 fee on top of the standard Switch package’s price.

The Switch dock is a bit more involved than a USB-C to HDMI adapter and includes custom chips to interface with the Switch to enable GPU overclocking and upscaling features.
