My husband and I started doing this about a year ago. We live in West (by God) Virginia, and our state is FULL of state parks. I bought some books on things to do in WV, and we've been taking day trips all over the state on the weekends. It's been really wonderful, and I've seen plenty of amazing and beautiful places.
