There are few things on earth more certain than this: the most published (living, male) writer on the planet is not looking for love anonymously on OkCupid. If he needs to get laid he does a book signing somewhere and picks up literature groupies (yes, they exist).
One thing about the conservative mindset that's kind of hard for outsiders to understand is that they have so much sexual guilt that they are in the closet about their own heterosexuality. It makes them pretty insane about this kind of stuff.
In this case there is not going to be any physical evidence, there is a possible ulterior motive for the allegations (... the money), and then there is the contradictory statement from 2011. It's true nobody really knows in many cases, but this case is going to be way murkier than most.
