I disagree with this on principle, because I've seen it work. Very rarely (in fact only one instance comes to mind right now) I admit, but this trope can easily be used as a tool just as any other, as long as the production level and intent behind it are warranted.
Well, some could argue that sex could be a useful tool to reveal hidden traits of someone's personality. Who they are when having sex probably isn't the same person that they choose to show in public. Which would give you a deeper connection to the character in question. You know something about them that no one else…
PSO did it 15 years earlier...
And yet PSO is way more fun in the long run... and if you don't think so then you've never owned a Dreamcast.
Look, stop blaming Sega. The only reason that games like these do not make it to the West is because of the consumer. It takes a great deal of resources to translate a game of this size, and a herculean effort to localise the entire game to an audience that has proven that it just isn't interested. Let's face it;…
Well Yakuza was a flop in NA, thats why they dont bring it
Sega, as a company, doesn't know what the fuck they're doing. They've made consistently bad business moves for the past 5 years, and they don't seem to be getting a firm grasp on how to not be dumb. Take Sonic, for instance. Sonic Colors was the best Sonic game to come out since Sonic Adventure 2, instead of repeating…
There is no rationalization of it. However there was also a group of peaceful gamers who want answers for the questions raised about the closeness journalists and developers share. We already know, and sadly accept, the corruption within games, since things like Dorito/Dew issue and the time Jeff Gerstmann was fired…
The problem is most people don't give a fuck. If you do things one way, you get bitten. Do things another, you get bitten. Look at any real drama regarding Sarkeesian or Quinn. Regardless of the facts, whatever they may be, you have social justice warriors rushing to tehir aid without much of a central thought,…
I never bothered to see Earthsea. I liked Howl's too, actually! Arrietty was meh. I thought Ponyo was pretty good! Poppy Hill was alright, but had pacing issues.
I found Arietty boring as well. I don't think I'm going to like Marnie either. I wish they'd make more Japan focused films, instead of remaking Western books. I think they tried to recreate the success of Howl's Moving Castle.
There's something romantic about the whole idea, Nintendo, even while struggling itself, gives a home to forgotten mascots and a place in it's little spotlight, like old enemies who've become comrades.
I won't buy an xbox one for a fable game, but this looked fun. It reminded me of Phantasy Star Online for Dreamcast.
From the levels I played: yup. The platforming stuff was trickier, and the one level I played that was all about racing through rings felt like the speedy, old style Sonic, but it was mostly really easy combat and simple action puzzles. Stuff that I could sit with my cousins and play, but nothing that held my own…
About three weeks ago in a hotel in Los Angeles, I got to play four levels of the upcoming Sonic Boom. It felt like…
Here's a pretty detailed analysis why this guy atleast thinks it's dissapointing game compaired to the previous soul games:
whenever I see this game for like 8 bucks I just buy it and give it to friends. I just want people to play it.
Maybe if my mom's heels were futuristic rocket heels, I would in fact become more nimble. I'm not sure why this is such a big deal. Last I checked heels were fashionable and not a symbol of male dominance or objectification. Bayonetta is one of modern gaming's biggest badasses and she's in heels.
The way to become "boyfriend material" is to stop caring if you are "boyfriend material" and cultivate a lifestyle that attracts others. You're not going to attract anyone if you suck/are boring.
