There would have been some great cracks about Super Moms in there.
I would have watched it. :(
"If I were in this group of women I'd be dead sure not to say a fucking word. Everyone seems ready to judge you to shreds there."
I took it as magical super powers. They don't have affirmative action and racial politics there like we do here. It is just outside their experience I guess.
So true.
Replying to help get it out of the gray!
lol. No worries. Yeah, just work with her on getting her stress under control. I mean, there is no way she doesn't realize she is overweight, and the likelihood is that she is already very worried about still being attractive- in general, to everyone, not just you two. Mentioning it is just going to shoot her stress…
Sorry for guessing your age wrong.
1) Check your sense of normal. Don't look at online pictures or magazines (full of photoshop). Go sit in a public place and people watch. Sorry to hear he is being such a douche!
"but you get somuch pushback here for even pointing out that there are health issues associated with being significantly overweight, but no pushback in the other direction."
They hypothesize that is the case, but they don't know. It would require further study.
Nope! It is not too late for you!

That was beautiful
I hope this research makes the rounds in the personal trainer, GP, and nutritionist communities. Maybe it will allow them to validate the feelings of health with their heaviest clients, and more effectively talk to them about weight-loss.
This.
No, but I grew up in Europe. Now I live in the North East US. I suppose people are much more direct and blunt up here compared to southerners. Where I am, what I wrote wouldn't be taken strong at all. It is funny, my family in the South finds me much less polite and retiring this days! Guess the North has rubbed off…
Thanks!
