Expensive, but in great condition, sympatheically upgraded, and realtively rare. I'm going with Nice Price, if only because i want to have one and paint it as a ww2 Kubelwagen.

@jip1080: Plus v8 swap for extra grins!
Vote lotus, cosworth (the benz counts) and SAAB.
The BMW E30 3-series made for a beautiful wagon/estate/touring, despite the conversion coming late in its life.
Vote Smart, Vote Jag! (and Fiat)
This is nothing to do with Fuel Economy.
@pinkshinyalan: well, the Euro escorts were not easy to make 4wd either which is why the cossie's body sits on a shortened version of the Sierra Cosworth 4WD's platform.
@edreyes: I suspect it's on a very similar platform to the new Bentley Mulsanne.
In terms of attempting to overcome mid-engined proportions, the ferrari flat-12s (365 - 512BB - Testarossa) also did this through mounting the engine on top of the gearbox, with 1/3rd of it behind the axle.
@CaptMatt15 is waiting for his 159 Wagon: Good luck.
@Bailout:
I live down the road from the Jaguar-Land Rover Engineering facility at Gaydon and have seen the car out and about it's disguise a couple of times.
Yay! Spotlights on a rally car! you hardly see them these days, but it used to be that it wasn;t a proper rally car unless you had enough spots taped to the bonnet to remake "triumph of the will"
@78_elky:
If we're talking "platforms", then you could argue the date for the morgan goes back to 1936 to the original 4/4, not 1950...
@Dearthair the Totally Uncreative: it's because cD is more affected by detailing (flush glazing, a smooth roofline) and the rear end of the car than the front.
Being from the UK, I've never come across this particular car, and I quite like it - nice bit of coke bottle to the shape, nice fastback tail.
