I don't disagree. And I think the suspension should have been upheld (and I'm a Lions fan).

I didn't think it would happen until this morning, when I heard how Mike Perrera (sp?) basically publicly shamed the league by saying it was inconsistent with past discipline and that the ref who was on top of it didn't see it as dirty in real time. I'm not sure I've ever heard him so critical of the league office

This is going to be just like when the Bulls traded Michael Jordan so they could keep Doug Collins.

I'm a Lions fan, and I have exactly zero problem with this suspension. He was trying to hurt Rodgers.

Just once. He's also been fined for, among other things, two handed shoving Cutler on a play where he had scrambled up field.

Speaking of the team they just lost to, amazing how the Pistons cut Josh Smith and immediately become lights out offensively.

The Free Press is really good at getting things wrong. There was this gem after the Lions won a game. It's not the first headline like this I've seen them have, either:

Man, what's her problem?

He'd be a good fit for a contender that needs defending only if the situation came with a coach who could convince him to just stop shooting jumpers.

Yep. It was a good call, but these things happen when a QB slides late. I doubt there was any bad intent.

Not to mention Drew Sharpe.

But remember, New York City in general and Madison Square Garden in particular are basketball mecca because.... umm.... hang on... hmm....

You guys are both nuts.

I know it's not obscure, but I've spent more time obsessively reading about D.B. Cooper online than I care to admit.

It was all quiet dignity after Super Bowl XL.

4 on 5 defensive scheme? Doesn't that just mean Carl Landry's on the court?

They should combine forces with Kirk Cameron's Birthday and create the saddest party ever.

Too bad SVG the GM is Joe Dumars bad.

They're also right, though. In the context of soft drinks, soda is an adjective meaning carbonated. Pop is the name of the beverage. Calling it soda is like calling carbonated water "a glass of carbonated."

In the context of carbonated beverages, soda is an adjective and pop is a noun. It makes no sense to call it soda. None, goddammit.
