As soon as I saw the headline I knew who wrote the dirtbag.

I used to think that those Oval Office, soothe-the-nation speeches were somewhat pointless. Harmless, but pointless. No longer.

Thing is you can’t really calculate how much money they bring in. The numbers that are put out are clearly an exaggeration but I think people probably do spend more money on crown shaped baubles which are backed by a real life queen.

I mean, at the very least Biden has issued statements and gone to meet with protesters while Trump was rage-tweeting from his underground bunker.

I have about ten different questions about this post, and none of them involve Lana Del Rey.

Thank you from riot central.
After an incredibly awful week which, of course, began with that horrifying video, and to a lesser extent the video of that woman in Central Park calling 911 and lying about the African american man threatening her life (his life could have easily ended as horribly as George Floyd’s),

This article is insane. Lana might be an asshole, but not because she's posting a video of people stealing shit.

The other, however, showed people apparently looting a local business, which, to be clear, is not something someone with 16.5 million followers should publicly post if they consider themselves an ally.

“particularly if they’re doing something technically unlawful”

I don’t pretend to know what the answer here is. There is maybe some merit in Ellen not taking up that space in this moment though. Black America has the stage.  I don’t want to give the mic to a rich white woman so that I can then read bullshit headlines about who’s boycotting her show.

Yup. Someone on her team finally wised up and let her go on ahead and say what she wanted to say since there was a contingency of her fanbase who considered her their Aryan princess.

Are we talking about the same Ellen. The same Ellen Degeneres that tweeted this:

I am still waiting for Jez to bash Taylor Swift for her twitt.

Celebrity: says or does or posts something woke* in response to a tragedy.

Yep, she needed the ability to keep him away from her for a period of time and him locked up currently is her out. If she left him any other time, he could track her down with a callout on her license and such.

...there is no reason for violence.

A hundred times this. On my work slack, this is pretty much protocol. “Hey, could you approve this thing?” Thumb up. “Can you close out this entry?” Thumb up. “How’s the project going along?” (longwinded paragraph). Original asker responds with thumb up.

Let’s tackle people spelling “lose” as “loose” first.

Ah yes, shrimp paste. That everyday staple I’m never without.

Because if I can’t find anchovies, I’ll definitely have shrimp paste on hand.
