    Many other countries only offer free smears every three years, the UK and Ireland amongst them. It's what the evidence supports, and going annually if you've never had an abnormal smear results in over-treatment for some women.

    AFAIK, the answer is very probably yes, but it's not certain by how much.

    There could also be a connection, as some studies show a link between c-sections and lower rates of breastfeeding, and between lower rates of breastfeeding and obesity in adulthood.
