Reread the article and it at no point says that. It never once mentions unplugging the system and then waiting 30 seconds and then plugging it back in and then holding the power button for two beeps. Nor does it even mention safe mode.
I have to disagree and say the ending was pretty par for the course. I get that the little twist at the end is a bit weird to grasp, but the collectibles made it make a lot of sense. Including what Didi really is.
I consider it current gen once all of the consoles have released. For me it's "the new generation" for about a year and then the "current generation" after that.
My VITA did this. Literally just took letting the battery die completely. I'd assume unplugging the PS4 for 30 seconds and booting in safe mode would fix this. Unsure how many people are actually listening to Sony'd troubleshooting instructions.
