I'll chime in with another "Ninth Gate" Depp. I think that sort of cold, with a hint of madness could work well.
And yes, the eye of the hurricane of weird is a great way to describe it.

I just finished reading "Ready Player One," and this reminds me of the OASIS rigs that they used to connect into the online world.
This has me literally laughing out loud in my office right now, thank you.
My friend plays roller derby in Vancouver under the name "Optismash Prime." She went to the company & special ordered a pair of robot leggings in blue for her namesake. They're pretty awesome! =)
Yeah, the Voyager music is wonderful!
For current shows, there's one intro that always makes me smile, no matter what. I always find myself following along with the tune & the buildings as the enter the frame... I just like it. It makes me happy.
I think this would be a totally fun movie, especially without all the RTS stuff getting in the way. <laugh>
There was also a movie that a bunch of older cousins & other relatives were watching once... I have no idea what it was, but it involved someone walking down the steps to the basement & accidentally kicking a head that rolled all the way down the stairs.
That haunted my dreams for years!
When I was little, I went to a sleep-over at a friend's house. We got about 20 minutes into this movie before I decided that I had enough and wanted to leave. So I left, and ran home... past a cornfield.
I love'em too. I'm from Seattle, but I'm a giant roller derby fan & love the Charm City Rollergirls helmet scheme, and the Maryland uniforms kinda have that same vibe.
Yes, exactly this.
My grandmother was a biology professor for decades, and she had a salt water aquarium in her classroom with clown fish. The amount of maintenance required to keep them happy & thriving is more than any kid is ready for.
I've seen cream cheese come in caulking gun dispensers at the hot dog stands here in Seattle. It's awesome and perfect for getting it on to the bun without having to use a knife or spatula.
I had the same feeling...
The way I saw it, every smile WAS fake. That's the way he interacted with the world.
Ugh, YES.
The end of that movie RUINED it for me.
High Tension was one of the most excellent "scary" movies I had seen in YEARS. Until the last 15 minutes... The "reveal" totally ruined the movie for me.

What the hell is Joss supposed to do now, after the end of this movie?
No Tony? No Iron Man?
Does War Machine step in to fill that role in Avengers 2?
Giant Iron Man 3 spoilers to follow, with a giant question for anyone who's seen the movie already:
