@elephantattack: I do know, and acknowledge in my comment, that Apple is acting as the storefront. I also say it's a brilliant business model fro them to make profit, and that they developed an easy ecosystem.

@dummysignups: As far as crapware on Android, you have a fair point. I interpret that as them being too open and allowing manufacturers and carriers do whatever they want with he OS. There has to be a balance between total openness, regulation, and total lock down.

I have to say, from a business/profit standpoint Apple is brilliant. I am reading through the comments, and it dawned on me that this distribution model Apple is using is a little nuts, but they pulled it off.

@James: I agree. The funny thing is I usually root for the underdog, so I would normally be a fan of Apple, but their tactics and arrogance is too off putting.

I would hate to see their bathrooms.....

I still think Nokia missed the boat and should have bought Palm. WebOS on Nokia hardware would be a thing of beauty.

Don't you hear the music?

@Joos1986: Thanks for the tip. I saw Razor, but I was iffy on the Plan. Will make sure to check it out now.

@Ko0lHaNDLuKe: Very cool! I just watched the entire series, wrapped up the finale on Friday.

The iPhone 4 "left at a bar" stress test didn't go so well.

If Giz is invited you know its not Apple related.

@Drummertist v.3: Kleenex is a brand name that achieved great brand recognition. Kleenex is a tissue, but not all tissues are Kleenex.

Is it sad that I found this equal parts cute, and cringe inducing? I wanted to jump through my monitor to stop them from damaging anything..... just goes to show that while I love kids, I love tech more.

If I made it from those materials, it would actually work!

@Dr.Preston!: You make a valid point, but I think this is going waaaay off track.

@Pasukun: To be fair, by listing the 40" 3D TV seperatly, it does imply that a monitor is not needed.

@Dr.Preston!: Aleinwares' top of the line system (desktop), starts at 4k, can be speced up over 8k before you add it to cart. The low end is on sale starting at 900, so I think 1500 is still on the mid-low side.

That really isn't that bad. I mean, a 40" TV will run you about 1500, a low end gaming rig would run you about the same depending on configuration. So 4k gets you a 40" slab of Gorilla glass, a state of the art camera laden display, and multi-person multitouch.

@Liam: Totally agree. Echoes the rant I posted a little while ago in whitenoise.

I call fake..... Not because it's an obvious joke, but because Jobs would not use pen input.
