I wouldn't dress respectfully for people I don't respect—indeed, people I hate. We shouldn't let them in this country at all.

Agree. These people can go fuck themselves and I wish nothing but the worst upon them.

This. If you organize your life around belief in a deity or other supernatural beings, you are so entirely removed from the way I think about the world that I find it hard to relate.

Just because nobody else said it yet: Guess what, you're a racist too! Enjoy.

Funny you should say that about Nintendo. I used to capture for them in-house (for Nintendo Week, remember that?) and it had the weirdest, weirdest restrictions. Like, don't show Mario dying or with few lives, or Link with less than almost full hearts, along with more normal things to avoid spoilers. An interesting

I hesitate to play this game just because, as a recoverig hardcore LotR lore nerd, I know this canon will piss me off. Even though I love Celebrimbor.

Also: The New Nintendo 3DS isn't out in North America until next year, so don't worry about buying one by accident. Or on purpose.

Ha. I am, in fact, assuming that. But perhaps that's a mistake.

Ha! I didn't realize money was involved. That obviously makes it make sense.

I don't know anything about cosplay culture, but I don't really get this—why would you dress up as a character that was just announced, that you necessarily have no emotional attachment to?

Not sure, but worth a try... if you make a stink (politely) with customer service, I bet they'll change it. If not, a lot of credit cards have a price guarantee and they can make up the difference if you let them know. Seriously, that's a thing!

The vendor will probably match the lower price as a matter of good faith, even if they've charged you (especially if it's Amazon)... just talk to customer service. Because otherwise that does suck.

If you contact Amazon customer service, they'll almost certainly match you to the lower price. Some policy of theirs. If they don't, your credit card will probably do it too. Try Amazon first, though.

I wonder if it's ever possible to get your hands on those perfect originals / production prototypes. Or if they end up in the museum section of the Nintendo World Store ten years from now.

*cheers*

Or, instead of saying "Your time means nothing to me and I have no respect for it," I could just be saying "maybe I'll be a little late; maybe you will be, either one of those is fine." This is how I find most real-world interactions work. Getting hung up on time is so strange to me. I'm talking 5 or 10 minutes in

But that's only the case if your attitude is "I will always arrive exactly on time." And I know that's the case for you and for many people. But for me, and for many other people, those times are more like loose guidelines. Maybe I'll be 5 minutes late, maybe my friend will be we assume it could easily go that way.

And I hate when people are super obsessed with punctuality. I don't really get it. I mean, yea, there's a line, obviously. But I go 15 minutes late to things all the time, and expect others to do the same, and don't get what the big deal is. Why does it upset you so much?

We waive the rule for newbies who aren't basically familiar with everyone yet, and we'll probably temporarily waive it when Smash Wii U comes out (waiting for that version). But yea, if everyone is already decent at the game, random makes it way more interesting.

Our house rules are: You get to pick a character for your first round. You have to do random after that, for the rest of the session. I'm not sure what celeb would adhere to such exacting rules. Lorde?
