WHO ARE ANY OF THESE PEOPLE

This. Walmart and Target both had $25 gift card deals but I missed them (both sold out now). I'm itchy to pull the trigger if something like that happens again.

No, they just have the same owners. Cf Sam's Club and Walmart. They continue to operate separately. The Kmarts, for instance, are always way more depressing than the Searses.

The great thing about my job (spirits writer) is I get a lot of free wine. Which I don't know anything about (whiskey on the other hand...). So I get to experiment with lots of different things. But on the other hand, I then feel guilty when I actually spend money on wine. So it both increases and limits

Yea, I am new enough to reds that I haven't really acquired the taste for the heavier ones yet. I think tannins are an acquired taste, and I just haven't acquired it yet. Working on it. In the meantime I'll stick to rosé and Pinot Noir and, uh, whiskey.

Any screen protector recommendations? I didn't even know that existed. And yea, it's the smudgiest system I've ever played (I don't have an iPad).

I'd love to hear more about Ass Creed IV on Wii U. Does it have the full featureset? Does it look better than PS3/360 (as it damn well should)? I'd love to pick it up for Wii U but don't want to get a gimped version. Ubi is definitely better about this than most, though, so I have my hopes high.

To clarify slightly: Cabernet Franc isn't used in Cabernet Sauvignon. Cab Sauv is its own grape, and a Cab Sauv varietal wine will have 75-100% that grape depending on the region. But the Cab Sauv grape is the result of a cross between Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc (hence the name).

No shame at all. Rosé has improved dramatically in the last few years and is actually very popular right now at all levels up to and including 'fancy'. It's really a booming style. Be proud of yourself for liking it!

A small Walmart? I don't understand.

I did it once, when the Wii launched. Missed the first shipment, gambled on getting it from Gamestop. Waited online for several hours at midnight with my cousin and family, then got one. Very orderly lines. Was a fun and memorable experience. But this was in the suburbs, not in a big city, and not at a Walmart. I

I've never worked retail or any other non-office job, barring a few summer stints at a friend's horse barn. Do you not get to take Thanksgiving off? It's not on a volunteer basis? How is that even remotely acceptable?

I agree. One day when it first came out, I had to play it for work and was dreading it.. rhythm games are terrible, and Square tie-ins are usually terrible. Um, I ended up playing for like 4 hours straight, in an office on a dev console. Because it's amazing. Really gets your nostalgia going. Ended up buying it as

Yea, why is it that the console launches bring all the crazies and fanboys and echo chamber-ers out of the woodwork?

The Nintendo New York lobby is pretty cool inside. Lots of Mario stuff. At least their old office, haven't been to the newer one.

Ah, shows how much I know about sports games. Awk.

Yes. "Render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and unto Ubisoft the things that are Ubisoft's."

That rules out most of the cardinals. Hardly anybody outside of the U.S. cares about North American football. There are only 18 U.S. cardinals. The youngest is 63 (Timothy Dolan).

Ah, just after I bellyache at you in the other thread...
