My middle and high school had a gym class that was just football for those who wanted to go to that class. I cant remember if it was flag or touch though. Anyone was allowed to take that gym class.

Kids play football at recess all the time without there being a team, and girls and boys play together then. That's how it was at my elementary- middle school. We didn't have a school football team until high school.
