Last I checked aluminum is a metal and can be formed and welded similar to steel, so I don’t see why they are getting up in arms thinking it’s going to be rocket science to fix these things. I get that aluminum is a little more difficult to work with (trickier to weld, potentially a little softer and different to form)

When I built my garage it looked like the ones in the photos above. I would pull something in, do a little work, back it out and clean everything up, nice and tidy. Then I started a restoration project, and it basically looks like a vehicle exploded in my garage, which it basically did.
