@JoeOfTexas: I'm a lawyer and I understand the thrill people seek by breaking the law (which still seems strange to me), I suppose I will never fully understand the attraction. If there is so much to learn etc... than why not work for someone (McAfee?) and monetize your abilities without actually causing harm, and

@Maave: I understand the good side and I even understand doing it for monetary gain even if illegal. I just do not understand how causing harm to other computers/systems/networks etc. is fun on any level. It seems to me comparable to vandalism/trespassing.

What does one get out of hacking or writing viruses? I am not talking about any actions that involve monetary gain.
