Mmmm I can taste the rage. Who did this to you? Was it the Capra Demon? Or maybe just a dickwraith. Either way, I raise my glass to them.

There were easy ways to play co-op with voice chat anyway and they were probably universally utilized. Not really a game changer.

... but which you could more easily modify to be a portable working machine and to fit your own ideas for what a user interface should be.

Yup. I love board and card games. Though, as I said earlier, I've never had the patience to play out a session of D&D or Warhammer on the table-top. I think that table-top mechanics make for pretty solid video game-play, especially since the scale can be so much greater on screen. XCOM: EU is a pretty good example of

Yeah I agree and that's something I mentioned in a later comment. I'm just making a case for turn-based gameplay in general, not specifically for BG2.

Maybe I went to the other end of the spectrum but I wasn't sure what you were talking about.

Sounds pretty fancy!

I totally disagree with you. I think turn-based games fill a pretty solid niche and offer a lot of things that real-time games never could. Yes they have a slower pace, but that is really part of the appeal. I find turn-based games to be more relaxing and suspenseful at the same time.

I'm sorry about being a sarcastic jerk, but:

Exactly. I don't need to pay $400 for a device that the manufacturer tells me what I can and can't do with.

Me too. This and all of the other great games exclusive to IOS make me pretty jealous. I still just don't really want an iPad, though.

I can't really imagine why there hasn't been one considering how well table-top style rules seem to translate into video games, and turn-based games definitely have a following.

I agree. It's got turn-based mechanics underneath anyway, might as well just stick to its roots.

The enhanced edition of Baldur's Gate II just came out on iPad, and the folks who made it want to convince you that it's worth your time and money.

You can't really argue the greatness of dual wielding needlers or plasma rifle/pistol combos (yes I am that guy).

What the hell are they going to do with them is what I want to know.

That's horrible, but you can't deny it.

I don't know if I would bother here right now. For the past week or so I have been fighting a losing battle trying to introduce the idea that the objectification of underage girls is a bad thing that should not be promoted. Now I think I'm almost universally considered a fascist and art censor.

I would say just make something up, but that's probably not a good idea.

I'm not going to lie, I would have broken something for the first time as a result of game rage if I were involved in that kind of loss.
