Yeah put him in full battle rattle and a 60 pound ruck and he'd be on an ambulance 2 miles into a 12 mile ruck march.

Tom Cruise couldn't handle one day in the Infantry, let alone a deployment.

WHY WOULD HE MAKE PANCAKES IN BED? Assuming you have a hot plate in your bed, that is a major fire hazard.

"This is a console that will last you, conservatively a decade, if I had to put a bet down today."

This is your graphics card on drugs.

Mmmmm... Pink fish.

Why would I be sarcastic about that? It's obvious that newer is always better. It's like quality depreciates over time. I'm being totally sincere right now...

That's totally reasonable, everyone does that. Who needs Blade Runner or Alien when you've got Prometheus, The Wrath of Khan when you've got Into Darkness, or Planescape: Torment when you've got the latest Fable. Right?

As long as Casey Hudson and Mac Walters are there to make unilateral story decisions with no outside feedback, I'm there! Those guys can't go wrong - pull out the loose leaf paper and let the scribbles begin!

I like them as well, they are pretty dynamic and open compared to a lot of shooters. So much zany stuff can happen. Definitely a shame.

I wish I could have faith in that, but I had the same problems in BF3 and they were never addressed. To this day BF3 and BF4 are the only games I simply cannot play. In fact they are the only games which have ever crashed on me.

It's a leftover of our puritanical roots. Killing 'the Other' in righteous indignation gives God a hard on, but anything that gives you a hard on is impure.

I'll second that notion. Cheap Shark is always where I go because it conveniently consolidates everything. Their browse feature is really great.

If you google the error you'll find hundreds of pages of forum threads containing dozens of 'solutions' and theories on what its cause is. Some of the workarounds work for some people, while many others like myself have no luck with any of them. Trust me, I've tried everything.

My comment wasn't very long either, and yet now I must explain to you that it was meant to imply that I give fuck all whether or not you thought a purchase of mine was a bad idea. Pretty simple.

Sorry, I forgot to ask your permission to spend my disposable income on FPS games.

No, it wasn't fixed, and no, the problem is not with my hardware. Trust me, I and hundreds of other people have had 2 years to troubleshoot and none of us have come up with a concrete answer as to why it happens, though we have resolutely ruled out it being hardware related.

I've been trying to figure out the crash for two years. I have definitely eliminated the possibility that it's in any way hardware related. It's a total mystery. And as I said, there is a rather large community of us who experience the same thing but none of us can figure it out.

I can't play BF3 either. Same exact crash in both games and it was never fixed.

I think BF4 is great. I like the game play a lot. But you're right, the crashes are identical to the issues BF3 had. However, many of them were never fixed or even acknowledged. I have come across hundreds of people for whom both games are totally unplayable due to the exact same DirectX error. To this day I crash out
