Yes. I use my pressure cooker often. My most recent purchase has been a Fagor Duo Combi. This set has 2 pots (one 8 quart and a 4 quart), 1 pressure lid and a glass lid. I’ve used a 6 quart most of my life so I was unprepared for how much I love the 4 quart pot. It’s nice to have a smaller pot for smaller batches of

This is how I work. I make a big batch of spaghetti sauce, a big batch of chili beans, a big batch of refried beans and so on, once or twice a week. Then I have a stash to eat out of as easy meals or especially, when the chips are down and need something Right Now.

I am disturbed by your unfriendly dismissal of introverts as “lazy”. Being an introvert is not a personality fault, nor does that mean that we are lazy.

The idea is to move people over to their new contract system: “Sure, we’ll give you that extra data, now sign here so we can clean up our old grandfathered files.”

No Cicada ice cream for me either. :-P

It was kind of like white noise, even though it wasn’t “sleepy quiet”. In addition, the train bumps gently back and forth, so it’s kind of jostling you to sleep. Not bad.

Our cross country trip did land us for 4 hours in Chicago. We didn’t mind. I’d never been there, and we spent the time wandering through the city, and were back in time to catch our train to continue on.

Welcome to the San Joaquin Valley. ;-)

We once went from central CA to Hamilton Ohio. We got a sleeper and while we didn’t have a shower in our sleeper, a shower was available elsewhere on the train.

This is missing the point. No, programming is not the only job to be had in the industry, but we’re talking about women DOING the tech, not simply a supporting role.

I always freeze my flour. Keeps the bugs out, too.

Your article is all about kneading by hand, but here’s my favorite sandwich bread recipe using a breadmaker.

I dunno. I make a “pot” about once a week, and keep it in the fridge. It only takes a minute. You might want to look into Bruer

I cold brew my coffee. Won’t go back doing it the old way if I can help it.

We have 2 of these Zo lunch packs. Awesome!

Chickens are omnivores. Yes, they will eat bugs and meat (squirrel, earthworms, Black Soldier Fly larvae, whatever) as well as corn and greens.

Mayo/Ketchup is great to dip your french fries into.

I keep telling people that they are just seagoing bugs, but nobody believes me.

I’ve been doing this for a while, not especially for plants, although they get some too, but for my pet earthworms (I vermicompost). We’re in a serious drought in California, and there are water restrictions. So, leftover cooking water both feeds them, and keeps them hydrated.

I Care. And I happen to know other people that feel the same way. Just because you don’t care doesn’t mean other people don’t.
