If I have to be doing a task, especially a repetitive task, like the aforementioned folding laundry, for example, I really like audio books or podcasts.

When I watch TV, I pretty much only watch TV. I might eat a few chocolate chips or look up a few actors' names at times to match names to faces in the credits, but mostly I just watch. I pretty much dislike doing something else while I watch.

I know you said this as sort of a cheeky response, but I have to say:

My secret to reading a lot of books is to read. I read books at lunch every day. Sometimes, I'll read even through parts of dinner, if family conversation is kinda slow - we all keep a book to read at the table for moments like these. Sometimes I read for some time after dinner, or before going to bed. I often read in

I read this a couple of months ago. It was really good!

I have done this, and it has worked out very well.

Oh, no. Not canned chicken. You can get better chicken for cheap if you just pay attention to what happens in the meat case and grab up what's on sale.

Nothing wrong with having a freezer stash of meals or using a crockpot. I'd agree that living every day on freezer or crockpot meals would be extremely boring, but, it may be the best way to keep the food budget in line - in some cases, it may be the only way.

Of course I make a roux to thicken meat sauces! Different ways of thickening sauces creates a different flavored dish.

Well, tried to post a picture, but it wouldn't let me. Anyway, I recently bought a cast iron pizza pan, and it has been da bomb! I learned how to make pizza crust, and now we have pizza often, instead of once-in-a-great-while.

I've had a Bamix for several years now, and you don't realize how much you'll use it until you have one.

Get a Bento pack. I have a Zojirushi Bento thermos that stacks several containers inside. You can have chili beans, or stew, or some other hot lunch, with chips or crackers, or you can go cold with potato salad and veggies or other cold items. I have two of these, but each one can hold enough for 2 people, so they

Worm composter here, too.

Gimpshop has not been maintained for years. The only thing it really had that Gimp didn't, was a one window set-up, and now Gimp can be set to use a single window. You have to turn it on every time you open it, but it's there and usable.

I may leave my browser tabs open for days at a time. I have my own home office, and I may want to click back to a certain site off and on through out the day. I really only certainly close tabs when I need to update/reboot.

If your lips really are peeling, using a toothbrush will be painful. You may not even realize it for a while after you've brushed your lips, after the damage is already done.

Um. . .no.

Kobo allows you to make notes in the margins. Long press on a word, and find the little note symbol. Press on that, and write your note and save it. It will leave a little note mark in the margin for later reading.
