I found this over at r/Rally, which isn't as big as it should be! Go over and say hi.
As someone with borderline OCD, this shit drives me fucking insane. I would never buy a Mercedes, simply for this reason.
"Absolutely no one does an interior like Spyker" ...except Pagani.
The Carrera GT payed tribute to this, had a very similar shift knob.

Well it's easier on the gearbox if you use the clutch when you're not shifting at full throttle, just like a sportbike. Technically you don't have to, but it makes the shifts smoother.
I believe you can upshift without using the clutch.
You mean the good old days?
Ah, the good old days.
Why are you Northern Europeans so pessimistic?
And how much is one of their first class tickets?
Lol nope. But have you ever heard a racing gearbox? Most people don't realize how much noise they make. You'd have to wear ear plugs to drive it.
Just think how awesome it would be though. I love it when I'm sitting at a light and a sportbike pulls up and just clunks into first, like a racehorse straining against its reins, and you know he's gona launch the thing. Imagine doing that in your car. Too cool.
Also straight-cut gears make the transmission crazy loud. The amount of whine would make it unacceptable for road use.
I know Quaife did one. Not sure if they ever actually sold any though.
No... actually it's very different. Shooting a gun into a crowd of people would be considered intent to harm. The chances of you shooting into a crowd of people and no being injured or killed are practically zero. Driving a bit faster than the speed limit or 'recklessly', as they're calling it, did not put anyone in a…
That light was clearly yellow when he went through. You do realize the video is at 4x speed? So things look like they are happening a lot faster than they are in reality.
'Despite what the law states on the books the reality is that the people who are in power can do whatever they like.'
Go watch the video before you comment. He does not run a single light. Speeding, ok he speeds but it's not excessive. He's always clearly in control. Reckless driving, that's open to interpretation.
