Also, are you from Japan? Because if so, they would completely explain the difference of opinion on the efficacy of ratings boards. I’m in the US and the ratings board operates just fine here, no censorship politics.

“While that is true, I think it should not be an outright stigma for movies to try to have some risque/adult content and still be successful ventures.”

“Even for parents, if they already don’t want kids watching violent stuff, I doubt a little censorship will be the thing that convinces them.”

Also, the “to a degree” part matters. Sure, a heterosexual man might find certain features in men attractive, but the question is: does he find them attractive enough to want to have sex with said men? Is he capable of seeing men in a romantic light? Because that’s kind of the distinction between straight and gay/bi.

Let people worry about themselves, they don’t need you to do it for them.

You misread the tone of my comment.

So if the fate of the world hinged on Dorian’s sexuality, that would qualify it as “well written” in your eyes? This was never about stakes, that’s another argument. It was about whether it was poorly written or not.

“Well, according to science, EVERYONE is bisexual to a degree”

The very fact that you’ve glorified Iron Bull’s story as “the struggle between his life/people/believes/greater good” and boiled down Dorian’s story to “yelling at dad in a tavern” shows just how biased you are when it comes to this subject.

“I DONT LIKE THE WAY UR SAYING WUT UR SAYING”

“What do you mean we need more minorities in Star Wars? For all we know, Darth Vader is black!”

We’ve already got bigots claiming this is “pandering”. Apparently, any acknowledgement whatsoever of sexual orientation is pandering (unless they’re straight of course!).

People define themselves by every character trait under the sun. Gearheads, video game junkies, bicycle enthusiasts. Why does it matter to you how people want to define themselves?

You have the ability to choose who you are attracted to?

“You’d never hear of a Jewish bakery being forced to bake a cake that says “Heil Hitler,” right?”

“They could have focused on the WHO he loved, not the gender of the person”

Stop pandering to squares!

If it were a more common occurrence, the media wouldn’t give a shit.

We’re WAY past “rational responses” here buddy. If you STILL can’t understand why minorities deserve to identify with people in media, you’re a lost cause.

That is a completely healthy opinion to have.
