Continuing their tradition of threatening, attacking and destroying Black churches sounds about white. To protest a loser’s loss? Struggling for Justice is not something they would understand or give a damn about. Their ‘destroy the GOP’ chant doesn’t seem very astute but by all means, boys, eradicate that shit. The

The man who taught Trump to be the way he is today.

*heavy, prolonged sigh*

Yeah, this. The teachers, medical personnel and retail & service workers haven’t been able to hunker down at home and they are feeling the effects. I also have a few family members who are immunocompromised. Being able to go to medical appointments without feeling like they’re risking their lives and being able to do

I’m incredibly fortunate to be working from home, especially in an industry as notoriously unstable as the one I work in. I know others, including most of the people I love, have to either go out and work or sit at home and hope their jobs come back someday.

For people who work from home, then the road ahead probably sounds tedious. For people who must go to work and interact with other people, getting the vaccine (whether this month or four months from now) will provide more peace of mind even if they can’t go out for after-work drinks and hug their grandmother just yet.

I have no childhood memories of this, but I regularly eat peanut butter (smooth) and honey on banana bread. It’s dessert, but also lunch. And it is the perfect pandemic cozy meal.

You have a lovely dog. I am amending the recommendation for me, however, to “hold a cat like a baby” because I have a cat and she is a baby. Also, she got up on my belly last night and stayed for a cuddle. This sounds like no big deal but it was HUGE. She hasn’t done that in eighteen months, because she has been

Why yes, I DID spend some time holding my dog like a baby, and he loved it. Fell asleep and everything. Making him forget that I gave him a bath two days ago and made him a fluffy boy.

Big day for the tiny human. We got her her very own library card! I adore how much joy it brought her. The library has truly become one of our happy places. Tho with books being quarantined for a week before they are checked in, we have been hitting our take out limits on my card. So now we can get sooooo many more

Anyone who thinks it will be like a light switch when it comes to returning to normal life probably doesn’t have much common sense. This election nonsense also proves there are many Americans who lack sense.

Gah! Something similar happened to me. I work for a big company and saw an internal job posting for what would be a transfer to a job in a city I really wanted to live in. Interviewer let me take a day of PTO and make a three-hour drive only to tell me he wanted someone down the hall. A wasted day.

Wow. At least at my organization, they only require we list the job publicly for a week or two. We don’t have to do any interviews or anything that would get up the hopes of applicants who will be doomed to rejection.

I applied to be a poll worker for this election, hoping to alleviate the burden on people who were at high risk for COVID-19, and they told me that they couldn’t accept my application because they were all full.

Please tell me you learned how to say GO FUCK YOURSELF in that other language.

OMG.

I still love Mrs. Betty A...... I was 26 and a roughneck 6'4" hunky looking 21 year old Beefalo manboy swept into my life. He was persuasive yet I knew he was not the sharpest Crayola in the box. But the S.S. Hormones was sailing at a good clip.

I was working for a non-profit that depended on grants from the state. One of the grants was discontinued and they couldn’t afford to pay me. They had to choose between me and a coworker who was bilingual. They chose the bilingual person. No argument there.

Back in the ‘90s I spent what I thought was an incredible weekend with a guy I liked a lot. A day or so later he called me to let me know that thanks to the time he’d spent with me, he’d decided to ask his ex-girlfriend to marry him.
