I fixed it. If you click the restore button (as the article describes) the phone will need to reactivate with Verizon, when the operating system boots. I'm assuming the issue lies in the fact that Verizon doesn't plan on activating any phones running iOS7, until next week. Downgrade back to iOS6 and try again, but…
